Dark Lips Neutralisation (lip blush on melanin rich lips)
Permanent lip blush procedure on darker coloured lips is an advanced technique that requires specific techniques and knowledge.
Darker lips require more sessions to achieve the desired look (usually 3-5 sessions, the darker the lips the more sessions will be needed) and there must be 8-12 weeks between the sessions. The amount of sessions required are very individual and depend on: amount of melanin; lip skin thickness; desired colour.
It's not possible to apply a target colour, such as pink or red, straight onto darker lips because healed colour will not look pretty: it may look purplish, muddy, or even make lips look darker then they were before.
Before applying a desired colour, lips must be "neutralised" first, which means using special colour pigments that will make lips look lighter and warmer, more of a light peachy nude tone. Once this effect is achieved (which may require 1-4 sessions), a desired colour can be applied on lips.

In some cases, there might be post procedure hyperpigmentation (lips look darker than before) or hypopigmentation (lips have lighter patches), but this is temporary and will resolve within a few weeks.
